One of the best sounding DSoTM album besides MFSL version. Nice, clean sound and good left and right channels separation. These are two clear UV printed vinyl which can be played only one side of each disc. Highly recommended to all Pink Floyd fans.

Flamenco Fever "Live" Direct To Disc album is one of the best sound recording that you will experience the feeling of being THERE inside the room with the band. Very high dynamic range and the music is very involving. Even though the sound from vinyl is better and amazing, the file that I play through Volumio is not bad at all.

An easy way to update Volumio with PeppyMeter Plugin installed without starting from scratch (new Volumio install). With a new beta v.3.601, there are a lot of fixed and new updates for RPi5. So far so good!

Been playing around with my new Raspberry Pi 5 for a couple days now. Managed to install Volumio with Peppy Meter on the RPi5 and been up and running for 24 hours now. Heat is not an issue. The temp while running is between 49-50 C. There was a little challenge on Touch Display plug-in but I finally got it to work with PeppyMeter Plug-in. Are you using FusionDSP plugin with Volumio? Is it still having issues while using PeppyMeter? I am not able to use Peppymeter coz of this. Hardware would be Pi5 + 4GB with 512gb NVMe
Normally I don't use any equalizer in my system. I heard that Peppy had some issue with FusionDSP in the past. So, I just installed FusionDSP and the result is NO issue at all. RPi5-8GB + 1TB NVMe Volumio v3.694 (beta) PeppyMeter Screen Saver Plugin v2.2.0 FusionDSP Plugin v1.0.53

Andy, You are completely right, the clicking problem when playing songs on Spotify is not due to SMSL. In fact I replaced it with a Topping E30 II and the problem is still present.....now I'm disheartened.....I don't know what to do anymore! Thanks for your test
What power supply do you use? I use normal 5V 3A, and 27W from RPi. Are you using RPi4 or RPi5?

Hi Andy, is there a noticeable difference playing music files from the NVME as compared to the NAS? Sonically speaking, I would imagine an improvement if the source of music is from the NVME rather than the NAS since there is no reliance on network cables/wi-fi. Really appreciate your good work on this video.
To my ear, I didn't notice any sonic difference between the NVMe and NAS. The advantages of having integrated NVMe is to have a collection of music with the RPi5 when I bring it to my friend's house and the speed over the NAS.

I still have my Talisman B in the box. The cantilever came off and I have thought about having it repaired if possible. This cartridge was by far the best sounding of all the phono cartridges that I have owned.

@@Naimnatnod1 Hi, thanks for your info. Mine crashes on circular meters... Might be power issue (more processing -> more power :) ). What power supply are you using (in terms of Amps)?
@@paulonunes8586 If I were you, I would delete the circular meters (the problem one) files and from you meter.txt as well. I don't think the power issue. I just use a generic 5V3A power adapter and have no problem.

Hello, always a nice job, congratulations. Two curiosities: 1) Is there a need to mount cooling fans on the Raspberry 5? 2) is there a difference in speed between systems installed on Raspberry 5 or Raspberry 4? (obviously with the same RAM and boot support) Keep going, bye
1. RPi5 for Volumio, I don't think the heatsink with cooling fan is necessary. A passive heatsink is good enough. I can only hear a fan spin only when I boot up the RPi 5. 2. the RPi5 is definitely faster than RPi4. It also can boot up from a NVMe. RPi4 can boot only from USB 3.0. If I had only RPi4 and a fast USB 3.0, I would stick with this combination. The 5 and NVMe is not necessary in my opinion. Once everything is installed and music is added, you won't notice the different if not compare side by side. Enjoy the music! :)
I'm building a streamer based on volumio and an 11 inch touch monitor from waveshare (great, I tried it first with my old raspberry3+ and it works really well). I then connected the raspberry 4 mime but it no longer turns on, just before editing the config.txt it worked, now the red LED turns on and the green one flashes quickly and does nothing else (even without the SD card it's like this). This is why I'm undecided whether to get an r4 or r5.... Thanks for the reply and you are very active, well done@@Naimnatnod1
